VIDI project ‘Putting Psychedelics in Perspective’

The NWO-funded VIDI project ‘Putting Psychedelics in Perspective’ (2021-2026)  focuses on conducting basic neurocognitive research to better understand the working mechanisms underlying psychedelic substances. This will be achieved by (1) conducting a high-powered study to assess the effects of psilocybin on the body, brain and cognition, (2) assessing the interaction between placebo-effects and psychedelics and (3) comparing the working mechanisms with other methods to induce an altered state of consciousness.
