Ph. D. Candidate and psychiatrist

Martijn has a special interest in psychedelic research for psychiatric disorders and is currently completing his PhD at the LUMC, during which he contributed to a psilocybin trial for treatment-resistant depression. In addition, is writing a perspective paper on psychedelics and conducting a survey to capture the attitudes towards psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy amongst Dutch mental healthcare workers. Next to this, Martijn finished his psychiatric residency in the UMC Utrecht and is currently working as a psychiatrist at ARQ Centrum ’45.
